A band that refuses to practice spends a lot of time telling jokes and getting to know the things that make each other tick (talk). We refused to play Rush/Zeppelin covers at school pep rallies because that was what everyone else was doing, and because they were too hard to play (see practice habits, above). But playing pep rallies means skipping class, and being in a band could mean drinking under age in a stinky cellar bar with a few of your friends to cheer you on. We (and most audiences) probably enjoyed our cover tunes (R.E.M., Stone Roses, U2) more than our own songs, but recording in the studio this one time did teach us a few things about do-it-yourself. Many thanks to Rich White an actual musician (T R A C E S, formerly Besnard Lakes, one-time Adam Franklin collaborator) who laughed along with us back in the day. We dedicate this album to Jamie Doherty who was always our #1 fan for some reason.

We do have some old videos on VHS; I will try to post those on YouTube at some point, assuming the tapes have any magnetism left.
